The Kids Are NOT Alright! Reduced Cognitive Performance
New pre-print study finds significant reductions in early childhood cognitive function and performance
I don’t have any children but the negative impact that the pandemic measures and vaccines have had on Children is one of the most disgusting of all to me!
Their education has suffered, their mental health has suffered, their physical health has suffered, we were told to basically use them as shields. “You better take this experimental vaccine for a virus you are at no risk from our else you will kill grandma and grandpa”. Are you flippin’ kidding me? How have parents gotten to this place (spoken as a non-parent of course 😊).
Children are not lab rats; Children are not shields for adults; adults are shields for Children. We have literally flipped morality, nay, humanity on its bloody head with this one.
It shouldn’t be this:
It should be this:
This is the topic that confuses me the most about the whole pandemic, sacrificing normal childhood development under the guise of “for the greater good”. The greater good are the children of the world, they are the future, we are not. Our grandparents and great grandparents would be disgusted with us. We have become so weak, soft, and scared that we would blindly accept rules, restrictions, and mandates that very well could prevent our Children from becoming successful adults.
Sorry about that rant, but this one really gets me fired up!

Cognitive Development in Children Before and During the Pandemic
A USA pre-print study funded by the one and only NIH was released on August 16, 2022, titled “The COVID-19 Pandemic and Early Child Cognitive Development: A Comparison of Development in Children Born During the Pandemic and Historical References”.
The study collected neurocognitive data from 700 children aged 3 months – 3 years between 2011 and 2021. To control for other issues that may impact child cognitive development, the authors only included children that met the following criteria.
The researchers assessed cognitive performance using the Mullen Scales of Early Learning (MSEL).
The results of this study showed that early learning composite (ELC), verbal development quotients (VDQ), and non-verbal development quotients (NVDQ) were equivalent to 2 standard deviations lower in children born during the pandemic versus before the pandemic. These results were found across all age groups in the study, including infants. ELC, VDQ, and NVDQ are just different components of the MSEL neurocognitive assessment.
For the graphically inclined.
Those on team COVID-hypochondriac might say well, these results are clearly due to the children and/or mothers getting COVID-19 and reduced cognitive function is simply a side effect. We better mask and vaccinate all children immediately.
Fortunately, they would be wrong. The researchers controlled for COVID-19, meaning no children or mothers reported COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19 (RT-PCR).
So, then what caused these finding? Clearly the root cause is environmental factors of some kind. Therefore, all we must ask ourselves is what environmental factors changed so significantly to cause such a significant change in childhood cognitive development pre to post COVID-19 pandemic? Since this study only went to December 2021, we must rule out a direct impact of COVID-19 vaccination since children of this age were not eligible at the time, and most still aren’t.
The authors offer little in the way of an explanation for these findings. They only mention the possible negative impact of maternal stress on the infant and that fact that the adults performing the assessments were wearing masks which may have impacted the children’s ability to interpret instructions. The authors also provide rationale for why these two factors are not likely to be the main cause of the findings. In particular, the participants in the study did not report elevated stress levels. So, while maternal stress can play a factor in infant/childhood health, it doesn’t seem to be a major player in the findings of this study.
What then could be the cause? Well, take your pick. Lockdowns preventing children from interacting with a larger group of adults, infants, and children other than just their immediate families. Having almost all adult interactions being with someone who is masked. While the researchers say this wasn’t a factor when the assessors were wearing them, I cannot see how infants being chronically exposed to masked adults would not impact their development.
Another major factor that could play a role, but the authors did not investigate exhaustively, is the impact of socioeconomic factors. It is well known that certain socioeconomic factors play a huge role in infant/childhood development. Factors such as lower household income and education can have negative impacts on children receiving proper nutrition, housing, and an appropriate level of interactive play.
We know for certain that the pandemic measures disproportionately impacted lower income and education groups which caused one of the largest transfers of wealth from low-mid income demographics to the highest income demographic ever.
Since lower income and education levels were already known to negatively impact infant development and our health officials where well aware of what the pandemic measures would do to lower income demographics, all I can say is congratulations on knowingly taking the unnecessary risk of screwing up a whole generation of children, you should be very proud of yourselves.
Now for what I think is a significant weakness of this paper, and since it was NIH funded, the following was almost certainly omitted on purpose, IMO.
What about Maternal Vaccine Status?
This study went to the end of 2021 so there would have been plenty of data on maternal COVID-19 vaccine status to evaluate. For instance, was the mother (or even father) vaccinated prior to conception, during pregnancy, while breast feeding, etc. and was there a difference in infant/childhood development in comparison to non-vaccinated parents?
We know there are plenty of neurological adverse events being reported from the vaccines and new data is showing concerning trends in birth rates and spontaneous abortions following the start of the vaccination campaigns. Correlation doesn’t equal causation but bloody hell this needs to be exhaustively investigated ASAP.
In all honesty. The fact that our governments are not shouting it from the rooftops and releasing all their data on vaccination and birth rates, gets my hackles up. If the data supported their narrative we would have heard it shouted from the rooftops of every legacy/government funded media outlet.
Great article - thanks!
